CHARITY FOCUS: PROJECTQ

ProjectQ Community Center is a non-profit organization that provides safe space for LGBTQIA+ homeless youth.

At our Community Center, LGBTQIA+ homeless youth can receive

free mentorship classes and workshops, along with free gender-affirming haircuts.

We pride ourselves on being 100% inclusive and a safe space where everyone is welcome;

regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, size, ability, and income. For the Month of May ALL DTC sales of the AGENDER OIL will benefit the work of ProjectQ

Who are you (name, what you do, who you believe yourself to be)?

I'm Madin Lopez and I'm the Founder & Executive Director of ProjectQ. I believe myself to be a social justice warrior.

Why do you make your work?

I do what I do to give back to those who are at a formative part of their life, and because I wish someone did that for me.

What do you believe in?

I believe in speaking truth to power.

Name one thing you say no to?

One thing I say no to is letting my boundaries be crossed, and to crossing other people's boundaries.

What change would you like to see?

I would like to see the fall systems of oppression.

Name one thing that makes you happy?

Sunshine (It's cheesy but true lol)

If you have used NOTO before, what is your favorite product and why?

Agender oil is my favorite because it makes my skin feel luxurious, moisturized, and it smells amazing!

How would you describe your personal routine?

My personal routine is very lengthy and focused. I'm recognizing as I get older that every part of my skin is different and needs different types of attention.

What did you want to be as a child?

When I was a child I wanted to be a preacher because I wanted to lead people. Which is essentially what I do now but in a very different capacity.

Can you remember one solid piece of advice you've gotten for the growth of your work?

My friend gave me a card with this quote on it, "Action is the fundamental key to all success" -Pablo Picasso. It reminds me that ideas are great but even the smallest movement towards your goal, will help you reach it.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?

I would love to collaborate with Patrisse Cullors of Black Lives Matter. I admire that she can keep her integrity while making large changes in the community that she serves.

Who is one person in culture that you feel is making a positive and inspiring change?

Jewel Thais Williams of Catch One continues to make positive change in the community after decades of being on the front lines, and continues her work through the Village Health Foundation.
