SOCIAL STUDIES : SATURN // Singer + Performer + Healer

It's almost difficult to describe how unique and special Saturn is. Not only with their music, their looks, their performance, but how they think, work, and share.  It's rare to find authentic voices these days where it feels that they stem from their very own creation.  Saturn, to me is one of those artists.  These may be some of my most favorite answers from our Social Studies series.  Thank you Saturn for sharing who you are with us.  And to our readers, if you want some sounds to help get you through your day, you have to flip your dial to Saturn's channel.

Who are you?
Saturn. Sexy Singer. Extraterrestrial performer.  I am a healer that offers my experiences in pursuit of higher self and hopes as inspiration and entertainment.

Why do you make your work?
Love of music.  Fulfillment, release, state of the world.  We as a society are alway sin need of boundary pushers.  Me as a person has always needed to express myself to the clearest level and so the collab of those purposes me me create.  It’s just as important to me to subvert the ideas of masculinity AND what it could mean to align myself with what I relate to the most, the divine feminine. duality

What do you believe in?
Community.  Free health care.  Gun control.  God love and sex.  Trans and gay rights.  Supportive parenting.  Iconic behavior.

Name one thing you say no to?
Giving up. Once I took a leap of faith to follow my dreams and believe in myself giving up is out of the question. I've jumped too far and risked too much to ever go home again.

One thing you say yes to?
Loving myself. I feel like there is this notion that self love is self indulgence and i've always been steered away from it whether its loving your black ess loving your queerness. Every chancei have to give myself an absolute love i take it because it's very rare to have the opportunity to do so

What change would you like to see?
Societal norms. Abolish them. The fact that we hold anyone to normalcy is hypocritical in nature and stupid in thot. Because limiting any sorts of resources because of any sort of difference is the opposite of progressive.

Name one thing that makes you happy?
My fans. I call my fans my rings because they surround me with so much support and connection that I'm always in awe of them

How would you describe your personal routine ?
I start my day with a cup of coffee to expel my bowels (i have ibs) lol.  Well I meditate first and then wash my face. I cut fresh aloe vera for a morning mask, workout and go to the office to do admin for Saturn rising llc.

What did you want to be as a child?
Pamela Anderson. I love her power over men. I wanted a relationship like her's and Tommy Lee's, at least what I believed it to be as a child. And i always find it admirable when people who are considered bimbos make really big careers for themselves. There's a science to it so she to me is a scientist.

Can you remember one solid piece of advice you've gotten for the growth of your work?
I don't feel like anyone pushed me to grow. More so people would restrict me and my rebellion from that helped me to grow. Maybe one thing I heard along the way is that “ It's not about you” which put into perspective why I do this

If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?
BRITNEY: FEATURE. CREATIVE DIRECTION. WHAT EVER SHE WANTS HONESTLY. But like, I have my entire plan written down for whenever she’s ready.

Who is one person in culture that you feel is making positive and inspiring change?
MUNROE BERGDORF is a special sort of activist. she’s more than willing to be front lines for the trans and non-binary community. there’s something about her work either when modeling or speaking or posting that is specifically for visibility and rights.
