From Art to Oysters: A Day in Paris with Gloria

Spending a day in Paris is always a dream, but when you can share it with dear friends and explore the city’s hidden gems, it becomes an unforgettable experience. Join me as I walk you through a day in Paris, filled with art, delicious food, and a touch of self-care.

WAKING UP IN THE ICONIC PINK ROOMS AT HOTEL AMOUR

My day began in the charming pink rooms of the Hotel Amour, one of Paris’s most iconic boutique hotels. Nestled in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, this quirky and romantic spot is the perfect place to start your Parisian adventure. The rooms are a delightful mix of vintage and modern, with a cozy vibe that makes it hard to leave the comfort of your bed. Waking up here is like stepping into a dream, where every detail is designed to make you feel at home while still offering a touch of Parisian chic.

STAYING GROUNDED DURING TRAVEL WITH MY SKINCARE ROUTINE

Travel can be both exhilarating and exhausting, so I make it a point to start my day with a grounding skincare routine. It’s my little ritual that keeps me feeling refreshed and ready for whatever the day brings. A gentle cleanse, followed by a hydrating serum, a nourishing hair and body oil, and sunscreen, ensures that my skin stays nourished and protected. Taking these few moments for myself helps me feel centered and confident as I step out into the bustling streets of Paris.

GRABBING COFFEE AND A QUICK BREAKFAST AT HOTEL AMOUR'S CAFÉ

No Parisian morning is complete without a strong cup of coffee. We headed down to the Hotel Amour’s café for a quick breakfast. The café’s cozy atmosphere and vintage decor make it the perfect spot to start the day. I opted for a classic café au lait paired with a buttery croissant—simple, yet undeniably satisfying. The café is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering a slice of authentic Parisian life.

SPENDING THE MORNING AT THE BRANCUSI EXHIBITION IN CENTRE POMPIDOU

With our energy renewed, we set off to the Centre Pompidou to immerse ourselves in the Brancusi exhibition. As a lover of art, seeing Constantin Brancusi’s work up close was a true highlight. His sculptures, with their sleek lines and organic forms, exude a timeless elegance that left me inspired. Wandering through the exhibition, I found myself captivated by the way Brancusi’s art bridges the gap between simplicity and profound expression.

LUNCH AT LOLO: THE MOST DELICIOUS SARDINE TOAST

By midday, it was time to indulge in one of Paris’s culinary delights. We made our way to Lolo, a trendy spot known for its inventive and delicious menu. I couldn’t resist ordering the sardine toast—a dish that exceeded all expectations. The combination of fresh sardines, crispy bread, and a zesty hint of lemon created a symphony of flavors that was both simple and sophisticated. Lolo’s laid-back atmosphere and focus on quality ingredients made it a standout choice for lunch.

MIDDAY PICK-ME-UP WITH THE ROOTED OIL

As the day wore on, I reached for my favorite travel essential: The Rooted Oil Roller. This little bottle of magic is a lifesaver when you're on the go. A few drops on the wrists or temples, and I’m instantly rejuvenated. The blend of natural oils not only smells divine but also provides a calming effect, helping me stay centered amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s one of those travel essentials I never leave home without.

GETTING DINNER READY WITH MY FAVORITE MULTI-BENE STICKS

Before heading out for dinner, I took a moment to freshen up with my favorite Multi-Bene Sticks. These multi-use beauty products are perfect for travel, allowing you to add a pop of color to your cheeks, lips, and eyes with minimal effort. The creamy texture and buildable coverage make them a staple in my makeup bag. A quick swipe of Fluxus, Hydra, and Five, and I’m ready to go.

Finishing the Day with an Oyster Dinner at Brasserie Lipp

The perfect Parisian day deserves a perfect ending, and for me, that meant an oyster dinner at Brasserie Lipp. This iconic brasserie, with its lively atmosphere and classic dishes, is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Surrounded by my dearest friends, we indulged in fresh oysters paired with crisp white wine, savoring every bite. The joyful ambiance and delicious food made for an unforgettable evening, filled with laughter and good conversation. Brasserie Lipp’s timeless charm and delicious fare make it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Parisian dining.

From waking up in the charming pink rooms of Hotel Amour to ending the day with oysters at Brasserie Lipp, our day in Paris was nothing short of magical. This itinerary perfectly blends art, culture, and culinary delights, offering a well-rounded experience of what this incredible city has to offer. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, Paris never fails to enchant, and I can’t wait to return for another adventure.
